Temi Giwa, truth is it is hard to make and keep friends as an adult, especially when you’re introverted. I have personally found out that simply being courteous with people can go a long way with helping you make new friends especially when you’re new in a place. However, if you are going to keep those friendships, there needs to be intentionality and a common point of interest.

Not to sound all cliché, but having a community where you feel at home is one of the best places you can find and keep friends. Personally, some of my best friends have come from churches I have attended, because they provide a ground for shared interests — religion in this case.

It does still take being committed, and sometimes having to inconvenience yourself, but that really is the only way. We must give to receive.
